Explorations in creating texture, depth, visual and tactile interest. After learning how to stretch my own canvas, I realized doing so gives me more freedom to create the foundation of my work. In some, I allow the foundation to peek through, symbolizing the organic nature of the self hidden behind the facades that we figuratively paint and showcase to the world.
